About Flor-Lay Interiors

Hinton

Flor-Lay has reached its 40th year of service to Hinton and surrounding area. Initially, the home decorating store, called Flor-Lay Services, was begun by Freda and Menno Unger, who moved it and their family from Kamloops to Hinton in 1979. Three years later, Nigel Knight was hired as a flooring installer, and in 1995 when the Unger’s retired, he and Ingrid Passamare purchased the business and renamed it to Flor-Lay Interiors. Nigel’s wife, Win, with 37 years of experience in bookkeeping and business, joined Flor-Lay Interiors in 2018, after Ingrid retired.

Flor-Lay has seen many changes over the past 40 years, but one thing that remains constant is the desire to help you style your space with décor including carpets, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl, ceramics, mosaics, Kitchen Craft cabinets, countertops, Hunter Douglas blinds and a vinyl flooring solution for porches and patios called Duradek.
